Product Description
Rainhard Fendrich's "Weus D´ A Herz Hast Wia Bergwerk" performed live at the piano — master this, and you have the audience from the first note. This piano and vocal score is aimed at players with approximately five years of lessons and offers a complete, performance-ready arrangement.
Piano Sheet Music "Weus D´ A Herz Hast Wia Bergwerk" – a Viennese gem for piano & voice
Rainhard Fendrich is one of the most distinctive voices in Austrian Schlager — unmistakable in dialect, direct in expression. This song is a declaration of love in Viennese: warmth, pride, affection — all present and accounted for. At the piano, the piece takes on a character of its own: the accompaniment supports the voice without ever overshadowing it.
The piano part strikes a careful balance between restraint and weight. F major lends the piece warmth and brightness — the melody moves in the middle vocal range, singable and clearly shaped. The tempo is calm and flowing, almost unhurried — and that's precisely what gives the accompaniment room to breathe. What the piece demands: the dynamic contrasts are pronounced. Playing the quiet passages truly softly and delivering the big moments with real conviction is what makes the emotional arc audible. Add to that short, detached phrase markings — the articulation is detailed and requires careful attention.
- Vocal range: f' to g'' (1 octave)
- Main challenge: several fast passages (runs / short note values)
- Ideal for: lessons, concert, performance
- Difficulty: Intermediate
- Tempo: 67 – calm and flowing
The fast runs will fall into place most reliably when practiced hand by hand first — slowly, until every note is secure, then brought together. Getting the short phrase markings clean from the start will have you sounding close to the original surprisingly early. For the dynamic contrasts, it's worth approaching the quiet passages with a consciously lighter touch — not just softer, but different in quality. That's what creates the emotional arc that defines this song.
A five-page browsable score preview shows you exactly what to expect — no blind purchase. There's also a short demo audio sample — not available to buy, but ideal for a first listen. The sheet music is 100% legal and fully licensed. If you'd like to practice the arrangement with accompaniment, a playback track with and without melody is available separately and is a real asset for working on phrasing and timing.
