Description "Krawall im Urlaub - ein Crimical (Gesamtpartitur)"
Krawall im Urwald
A Crimical for solo singers, choir, dancers and band
A Crimical for solo singers, choir, dancers and band
Krawall im Urwald is a lively and colourful musical - but it is also a play against exclusion, for integration, tolerance and community. The idea came from children from Nienstädt.
The story:
The inhabitants of the jungle are in turmoil. Ever since the strange guenon Ratzefatz has taken up residence with them, peaceful coexistence has been a thing of the past. Nothing seems to be safe from her: The monkeys' bananas are stolen and the parrots' most beautiful feathers; the honey for Berthold the bear disappears; flowers are trampled; even the sloths are disturbed. There is only one thing that can help: the highly famous and time-honoured Merano Magic Snake. Will she get to the bottom of the sea cat? Or will everything turn out differently in the end?

The world premiere of the musical spectacle will take place on 23 and 24 March at the Gütersloh City Theatre, involving more than 200 Gütersloh children and young people, including 72 third-graders from Heidewald Primary School: they sing and dance, tap-dance and rap across the stage, accompanied by a four-piece band.
The score is illustrated with colourful pictures by Gütersloh artist Irene Müller, who also designed the stage set for the world premiere.
(Score: 84 pages, performance time approx. 90 min.)
