This set of variations on a well-known American spiritual was commissioned by the "The Brass" for their tour of churches in Southern British Columbia, during the 2010 Easter season.

The work can be played as a continuous piece in concert or in a worship service, or the variations can be played separately at various points of an Easter or other service.
