Product Description
"Perfect" by Ed Sheeran arranged for organ — this arrangement is aimed at players with approximately three years of lessons. The delicate legato phrasing combines with occasional large interval leaps, and together these elements demand coordination and bow control that go beyond beginner level.
Sheet Music "Perfect" – Romantic Wedding Ballad for Organ Solo
Ed Sheeran released "Perfect" in 2017 as part of his album "÷" (Divide). The song quickly became the most-played wedding ballad of its generation — a quiet, intimate piece about love and the longing for the right moment. Sheeran wrote it for his partner at the time; the simplicity of the melody is no accident, but entirely intentional.
On the organ, "Perfect" takes on a particular weight and warmth — the instrument carries the melody with a tone that no piano can quite replicate. The key of G major keeps the arrangement accessible: just one sharp, consistently diatonic harmony — no excursions into remote keys. The melody spans just over an octave and a half, sitting predominantly in the middle to upper manual range. The delicate legato phrasing, with its many short slurs, calls for precise registration, since the organ controls dynamics and tone colour through stop selection rather than touch. The arrangement is simplified relative to the original: the bass line in the pedal moves within a manageable range in the low to middle register and remains rhythmically clear — demanding enough for the intermediate level, but without any virtuosic pedal passages. The two-handed interplay across 114 bars, combined with this pedal writing, makes the intermediate level designation both realistic and well-justified.
- Main challenge: Large interval leaps in the melody
To navigate the large interval leaps in the melody with confidence, practise them first as isolated pairs — the departure note and the target pitch — keeping your fingers consciously resting on the keys before the next phrase begins. This gives the hand a point of reference and prevents the leap from becoming a stumbling block. The short slurs work best when you internalise the phrasing by singing it mentally: where the melody breathes, the hand releases — no sooner, no later. On the organ, this phrase break lives in the wrist, not the fingers.
A four-page scrollable preview is available before purchase, so you know exactly what to expect. A short audio demo also gives you an initial impression of the arrangement. The sheet music is available for immediate download after purchase. 100% licensed — ready to perform legally, right away.

Gutes Arrangement
