Product Description
In 2020 Santino Cara was commissioned by the Baroque Academy of Rome to reconstruct the 6 "a piΓΉ instrumenti" concertos Op. 5 by Evaristo Felice Dall'Abaco (Verona 1675 - Munich 1742). The reconstructions are based on the First Book, published in 1719 by Jeanne Roger in Amsterdam and dedicated to His Serene Highness Ferdinando Maria, Landgrave of Leuchtenberg.
Concerto No. 4 in B-flat major was presumably composed between 1718 and 1719 by Dall'Abaco for two concertante violins, bassoon, string orchestra and basso continuo. Dynamics, ornamentations and the realization of the figured bass part for the harpsichord were added to the reconstructed score.
