Product Description
In 2020 the Baroque Academy of Rome commissioned Santino Cara to reconstruct 6 "a più instrumenti" concertos from Op.5 by Evaristo Felice Dall'Abaco (Verona 1675 – Munich 1742). The reconstructions are based on the first edition published in 1719 by Jeanne Roger in Amsterdam and dedicated to "His Most Serene Highness Ferdinando Maria, Landgrave of Leuchtenberg".
The Concerto No.3 in E minor was presumably composed between 1718 and 1719 by Dall'Abaco for 2 flutes, bassoon, string orchestra and basso continuo. In the reconstructed score, dynamics, ornamentations and the development of the figured bass line for harpsichord have been added.
