Product Description
In 2020, the "School of the Baroque Academy of Rome" commissioned Santino Cara to reconstruct the six "a piΓΉ instrumenti" concertos from Op. 5 by Evaristo Felice Dall'Abaco (Verona 1675 β Munich 1742). The reconstructions were based on the first book, which was dedicated to Ferdinando Maria, Landgraf of Leuchtenberg, and published in 1719 in Amsterdam by publisher Jeanne Roger.
Concerto No. 1 in F major was presumably composed between 1718 and 1719 by Dall'Abaco for two solo violins, bassoon, string orchestra, and basso continuo. In the reconstructed score, dynamic markings, ornaments, and the realization of the figured bass for harpsichord have been added.
