Christoph Dalitz is a versatile composer known above all for his vocal compositions.
His polyphonic choral music is based on traditional styles.
Because he plays the guitar and lute himself, he has arranged well-known classical works for these stringed instruments, such as Mozart's famous "alla Turca" rondo or Couperin's harpsichord piece for theorbo. These are intended for guitar and lute players with a somewhat advanced level of playing.
Most editions also contain tablature notation in addition to the sheet music in order to make the pieces accessible to those who are not familiar with musical notation. A particular curiosity are folk song variations in the romantic style for guitar or in the Renaissance style for lute, which are also suitable as entertaining encore pieces.
Some of the extensive scores and sheet music are available online to download, print out and play immediately. Before you buy the sheet music to print out from Notendownload, you can often get an impression by listening to audio samples.
