Product Description
The traditional work Variations On The Carnival Of Venice, arranged by Nazrin Rashidova and Stanislav Hvartchilkov for violin and guitar in digital sheet music format.
Variations on The Carnival of Venice for advanced-level violin and guitar explores many virtuoso techniques, including Irish, Flamenco and jazz styles within the variations. While Rashidova and Hvartchilkov have turned to Paganini, Ernst and TΓ‘rrega for inspiration (in Variations 1, 2, 5 and 6), a substantial amount of new material (Variations 3, 4, 7, 8 and 9) has been newly composed, taking the player and listener on a new stylistic journey. Concluding with a fantasy coda written by Hvartchilkov, this arrangement truly captures the colourful spirit of The Carnival of Venice.
βThe duoβs greatest compositional input is in the Carnival of Venice variations, with elements β¦ employed in constant, witty invention.βΒ
The Strad Magazine, 2016
β...these violin-guitar transcriptions by the duo really knocked me out! Also quite striking is their Variations on the Carnival of Venice, in which they supplement their own arrangement of a widely known Neapolitan melody with some new, original material.β
