Seven Haiku (2005) for voice and piano was written for Amanda Elizabeth Forsythe and EdwardElwyn Jones, on the occasion of their wedding, June 4, 2005.
The work consists of seven short settings of contemporary haiku by Hilary Tann (b. 1947).
The seven movements follow each other without pause and should always be performed in their entirety.
