Description "Romantische Suite Op. 10"
The "Romantic Suite" for violin and double bass by the well-known double bass pedagogue and virtuoso consists of 4 character pieces, to each of which Findeisen has given his own romantic titles:
1. "Am Birkenwald"
2. "Nächtlicher Marsch der Gnomen"
3. "Unterm Haselbusch"
4. "Erlauscht".
In combination with the corresponding tempo indications, it is easy to imagine the characteristics of the movements.
The parts are quite demanding for both instruments. The double bass part is notated in solo tuning (one tone lower).
