Description "Quartettsuite"

This work, which is finally available again, is a highlight of musicality and virtuosity. Findeisen displays contrapuntal polyphony here without denying his Romantic roots. The first movement (Adagio) is a serious, almost baroque meditation. The following minuet is cheerful and is followed by another serious, strictly polyphonic andante moderato, in which the first bass has to master extremely high registers. In contrast, the last movement (Humoreske) is again witty, humorous and elegant.
