With a love of artistic freedom, Felix Reuter has taken up central motifs from Beethoven's Pathétique Sonata, sensitively "distilled" the work and allowed his own stylistic colors to flow into it in a completely organic way. They make the artistic essence shine anew as a personal reading - more peaceful and less agitated than the original work, yet with great expressive power. In the third movement, Felix Reuter uses small changes to create clever jazz harmonies and turn the work into something completely different. The musical theme is transformed into a wonderfully slow blues. The piano sheet music for the third movement is included in this edition. Movements 1 and 2 are also available as sheet music editions.
