Product Description
In the original, a duo for two cellos, the first part of which has been slightly altered for playing with the double bass, while the second part has been completely tailored to the double bass.
The two instruments constantly play the themes to each other, most of which are diatonic and can therefore be played well by the double bass in the sounding register.
The second movement deserves a special mention here, in the middle of which the double bass shines with a long cantilena that has a romantic, rapturous melodiousness that makes you think this melody was written directly for the double bass.
