Description "Die Elefanten"
Freely based on the famous "Elephant" from the "Carnival of the Animals" by Camille Saint-Saens, set for 5 double basses. However, a theme from a Beethoven symphony, a well-known Strauss waltz and a famous theme by Schubert have also found their way into this work. The parts are deliberately designed to be easy to play and the melodic and accompanying functions are distributed relatively "fairly" among all the players.
