Product Description
"Ballade Pour Adeline" ranks among the most-played piano pieces worldwide — and these piano scores make it accessible for players with approximately three years of lessons. The wide range spanning three octaves requires solid fundamentals. The position shifts in the left hand are very manageable with focused practice.
Sheet Music "Ballade Pour Adeline" — timeless ballad for solo piano
Paul de Senneville composed this piece in 1976 in honor of his daughter Adeline. Richard Clayderman recorded it and brought it to worldwide recognition. The melody needs no words — it tells its story through the piano alone. Clayderman is known for a singing, elegant piano style that blends classical refinement with memorable melody. This piece embodies that quality from the very first note.
The key of C major requires no accidentals — which keeps the reading straightforward from the start. The tempo is calm and flowing, with room to breathe within each phrase. The melody spans a remarkable range of three octaves — from the lower register up into very high positions. The right hand carries the singing melodic line in the upper register, while the left hand accompanies with consistently diatonic harmony — meaning no modulations into foreign keys, which keeps the overall sound clear and cohesive. The distinct dynamic contrasts between soft and full give the piece its expressive breath: players who consciously vary their touch will draw far more out of these 26 bars (including the repeat section) than a simple melody might suggest.
- Range: g to g''' (3 octaves)
- Ideal for: concerts, recitals, formal occasions
- Main challenge: position shifts in the left hand
- Tempo: 68 — calm and flowing
Practicing the left hand in isolation first will quickly reveal where the leaps occur — particularly at the larger interval shifts of up to a minor tenth. These passages are worth working through slowly and without time pressure until the hand knows the way. Once that's in place, hands-together playing flows considerably more smoothly. Dynamics deserve special attention: this piece lives on the interplay between delicate piano and fuller tone — players who apply touch with intention give the melody its true expressive weight.

Gute Version für „fortgeschrittene“ Anfänger
Qualität gut. Einschätzung Schweregrad leicht, entspricht der Ausführung. Dafür natürlich nicht so nah am Original. Aber sogar ich kann es spielen und das macht Spaß!
