Erik Satie/Paul Wehage

Trois Gynopédies (Sopran Saxophon + Klavier) - Noten Download PDF

Erik Satie was a French composer, born in Honfleur in 1866 and died in Paris in 1925. His music
may be thought of as either being experimental or tongue-in-check, but it should definitely be seen as a
break from the 19th century romantic tradition, as well as from French impressionism. These works
should be approached objectively, without any artificial expression. The tempi should be steady, with
perhaps a hint of rubato at the end of phrases. The solo instrument should try to produce a non-expressive,
white sound with little vibrato, if any.
