This work is in three large sections, which are played without interruption.

At the beginning of the first section, the violin, the viola and the cello (supported discretely by the three ondes) each play with their own dynamics and rythmic structures to create a kind of rocking structure while the poet invokes the moment of the sea and poetry of the night. Then, inspired by the beauty of the night sky and the stars, the poet passionately calls his Muse and speaks of his wish to sing. To conclude this first section, the cello sings a meditatif song, seeming to echo the poet's thoughts and his emotion in seeing the night.

The second section is very static and etherial. This part of the work invites us to comtemplate the World of Space. The poet seems to want to attract t the stars, in calling out to the uncountable constrellations. Carried by his imagination, the poet (third section) seems to feel a sense of leaving the Earth, drawn o these far-away worlds which swirl and fly in the Infinity of Time and Space. This third section, suddenly agitated, is made of a series of four aleatoric sequences. In these sequences, the musicians must play all the notes indicated, but possess a certain amount of freedom concerning the tempo and the rythmn. Through this process, there is a certain shifting between the various parts which leads to a sense of a thick mass of sound and an apparent disorder which should invoke the complex overlapping of the different stellar systems towards which the poet draws us in his strange sideral voyage. At the end of the work, everything becomes calm. The cello continues to sing softly, only interrompted by the luminous interjections of the three ondes, the viola and the violin.

The mettronome markings are only approximations. In the aleatoric passages, the accidentals are only valid for the note indicated. The narrator should recite the text very freely over the music, There are however several symbols used to give indications. The symbol &Agrave, indindicates a relatively precise departure for the text. The syubol &Atilde, indicates an aproximate point of departure for the text. And the symbol &Otilde, indicates the point at which the point at which the text should be finished.

The total duration is nine minutes. This work is dedicated to my sister Antoinette.
